007 Resolutions

The new year has begun, and we are waist-deep in January. Every year, we all set our personal goals for the months to come. Some sink, some swim, some grow wings and fly. I’m happy enough to just float down the river. So here are my resolutions for 2022!

·         Write more: Last year, I wrote about the Don’t Break the Chain challenge. For those who are unfamiliar, you can click HERE to read up about it. So far, I’ve managed to continue the chain since it began. I would very much like to keep this going throughout the year, and potentially for years to come. After all, can’t enjoy the omelet if you don’t crack the eggs, right?

·         Read more: Despite my ever-growing mini library, I feel like I don’t read as often as I should. So my goal for this year is to read at least one book a month, maybe two months depending on the length of the book.

·         Drum more: Whether it’s learning a new song or brushing up on the fundamentals, my lady Ruby Mae has not made much music lately. I should change that.

·         Clean more: They say that geniuses tend to be messier. I don’t know how much I believe that, and I am in no way calling myself a genius. But they also say cleanliness is next to godliness. Does that mean geniuses are ungodly? Food for thought…

·         Moderate intake: Whether it be media, time spent on phone apps, or simply food, it’s important to be mindful of what goes into one’s body. I feel like I have been a bit too lax here, so it’s time to pay more attention.

Those are my resolutions! What are yours? Whether you have some of your own or you opt out of the whole thing, I hope you have an amazing 2022!

  1. Accountability helps when it comes to sticking to goals. Make time to let friends know what you’re up to and what you’d like to achieve.
